It was only two years ago that my hometown club of Portsmouth FC was mid-table in the Premiership and had just won the FA Cup with Harry Redknapp as our manager. Since then, things have rather gone from bad to worse to terrible. We ended up getting relegated that season due to the distraction of our FA Cup run, which meant that Harry Redknapp disappeared from the club, leaving us with a huge wage bill that we could not sustain the Championship.
